Tan Sri Dato' Ahmad Fuzi Haji Abdul Razak
Tan Sri Dato' Ahmad Fuzi Haji Abdul Razak was previously the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia. He joined the Malaysian Diplomatic and Administrative Service in 1972, and served in various capacities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, mainly in the Political Division, and at the Malaysian Missions abroad in Moscow, the Hague, Canber-ra, Washington and Dhaka.

Mohamed Iqbal Asaria
In his early career Iqbal worked as an Investment Analyst in the City of London for several years. For the last several years he has been largely involved in teaching post graduate courses in Islamic economics, finance, banking and insurance at a number of leading business schools in the UK and overseas.

Pierfrancesco Gaggi studied at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” where he graduated in Economics. As he worked for the Association for Italian Banks (ABI), in the Economic Research department and in the Payment Systems department, he took additional intensive courses in Management and Financial analysis.
Since 1998, he is the Chairman of Italian Group of Banks participating to SWIFT.In 2006, Mr Gaggi became Deputy Head of the Financial Services Division at the Association for Italian Banks. Fatima Habib Eddin
Fatima Habibeddine is the founder of the first on line Italian magazine on Islamic economics and finance (www.lafinanzaislamica.it). The magazine wants to provide news and analysis about this developing field and to raise Italian public awareness on the importance of adopting alternative financial and economic instruments in order to help the Italian readers understand the principles of Islamic economics.
She graduated at the University of Torino and she holds an MBA from the leading European Business School “ESCP Europe”. She gained knowledge in the conventional finance, particularly in the London finance. In 2012 she organized, together with ASSAIF, an international meeting for Islamic Relief Italia, an NGO from Milan, The meeting dealt with the opportunities offered by the Islamic finance to create development with a focus on disadvantaged communities. After this experience she decided to specialize in Islamic finance and she is currently attending a Professional Master Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from INCEIF, the Global University of Islamic Finance based in Kuala Lampur.
She lives in London, where she cooperates with the National Zakat Foundation, a British NGO whose aim is to collect and redistribute the Zakat in the UK, following the dictates of Islamic law, and she is starting a cooperation with Zawya, a Thomson Reuter branch dealing with Islamic economics and finance.

Baljeet Kaur Grewal is the Managing Director & Vice Chairman at the Investment, Advisory & Research arm of Kuwait Finance House, Kuwait (KFH). In her capacity, Baljeet leads the investment strategy and research advisory teams at KFH Research Limited. Prior to this, Baljeet was the Head, Investment Banking Research at Maybank Group, Malaysia. She was also attached to ABN AMRO Bank and Deutsche Bank, London, with experiences ranging from Credit Structuring, Islamic Finance and Economic & Emerging Market Research. She has broad experience in Islamic capital markets, having participated in notable Islamic fund raising transactions in Asia & the Middle East; as well as in strategy & and Islamic banking initiatives. She has written and published articles on development in emerging economies, debt markets, Islamic finance and policy framework; works closely with the ECB, IMF, World Bank and various central banks and governing bodies on regulatory and policy development in finance. Baljeet is the first woman in the Middle East to hold her position at KFH. Additionally, he has written articles on Islamic finance and takaful and is a regularly invited to be a speaker/panelist as well as a moderator at Islamic finance and takaful conferences and seminars.
He started in 1996 with an internship at KPMG Management Consulting in Jakarta, Indonesia and later on beginning 1998 he worked for more than 8 years at Swiss Life in The Netherlands in the field of client relations, pension administration, and takaful research, where he was the initiator responsible for the development of takaful for Swiss Life in Europe. From 2002, he was also the Chairman of Islamic Commerce (Islamic Commerce VOF and Islamic Commerce Ltd), involved in research and development of Islamic Finance in The Netherlands.
In 2006 Muktisjah was recruited to join Bank Al Jazira – Takaful Ta’awuni Division in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, initially as Corporate Business Development Manager, where he was responsible for group sales and product development of the group products. Later on at Bank Al Jazira in 2010 he became the Head of Product Research and Development as Senior Manager, heading product development of the unit-linked and protection only products for retail and corporate customers and was also involved in market research. For the spin-off company Aljazira Takaful he was responsible for the product submission and getting the regulatory approval of the new retail and corporate takaful products including providing the marketing text for the brochures, coordination with legal experts, actuarial firm, investment firm, retakaful providers, IT system provider and Sharia consultant.
Currently, as co-founder and partner he holds the position as Director at Takaful Outsource Ltd., which firm helps to set-up new takaful companies in Africa, SE Asia, Europe and also product development, actuarial support and IT Takaful system assistance for insurance / takaful companies.
Currently Head of Sales Europe in the Petronas Lubricants International Business Organization, joining the Company in July 2014.

Anass Patel est diplômé d’un Master spécialisé de l’Ecole Centrale Paris et de l’Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lille. Après avoir dirigé l’activité de recherche chez HRO, puis été responsable chez GE Capital des analyses de risque du portefeuille d’investissements au niveau européen (Insurance, Consumer Finance), il était également spécialisé dans les investissements sur des start ups hi-tech avec GE Private Equity aux US.
Anass fait partie de la commission Finance Islamique d’Europlace depuis 2007, sous l’égide du Haut Comité de Place institué par Christine Lagarde, ex-ministre de l’économie. Il a été en charge du groupe de travail sur l’immobilier ayant permis l’adoption des instructions fiscales publiés en 2010. Il est par ailleurs membre-fondateur de l’association AIDIMM, spécialisée dans la promotion de la finance islamique francophone. Il est membre du CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager) aux Etats-Unis et de l’AREIM (Association de Recherche Immobilière) en France, est certifié Black Belt 6 Sigma (performance par la qualité) et PMP (Project Management Professional).
Il est l’auteur de nombreux papiers sur la finance islamique ainsi que de trois ouvrages collectifs, le premier avec des universitaires et juristes (« La Finance Islamique à la française : un moteur pour l’économie, une alternative éthique », Secure Finance 2008), le second avec des professionnels anglophones (Euromoney 2010 : Islamic Investment banking,») avec un troisième édité en 2011 sur les sukuks (« Growth of sukuk » Euromoney 2011) ainsi que le livre blanc "finance islamique et immobilier" co-écrit avec Norton Rose.
Enfin, Anass est un conférencier régulier en Europe et dans le Moyen-orient, il intervient régulièrement dans des différentes universités françaises et marocaines. Il mène des recherches sur les « techniques de financement participatif au service des PME » dans le cadre d’une thèse professionnelle avec l’université Paris 1 Sorbonne, ce qui lui a permis de rédiger un article reconnu par ses pairs et publier par l’Université Harvard sur l’innovation que représentent les Sukuk hybrides.
Francesco Profumo is Professor of Electrical Machines and Drives at the Politecnico of Torino. He was the Dean of the Engineering Faculty and the Rector of the Politecnico of Torino. In August 2011 he was appointed as President of CNR (National Research Council) and in November of the same year he became the Minister of Education, University and Research. From July 2013 he is the Chairman of the IREN Group.

Since 1995, Agostino has been an innovator and an opinion leader in the field of renewable energy. His company, Asja Ambiente Italia is leader in its field in the Italian market. In 2011, he was appointed Chairman of assoRinnovabili (the Italian largest association of renewable energy producers). In 2012, he became a board member of EWEA (European Wind Energy Association). In 2012 he founded Reba Capital UK LLP, an investment management company focusing on sustainable agricultural and clean energy projects.
Agostino started his career in the management consultancy industry in Milan in 1980 at Andersen Consulting (today Accenture). Subsequently, he was in charge of the turnaround of the major Italian publishing company, Giulio Einaudi Editore. From 1988 Agostino held CEO positions in the field of real estate, equipment leasing and financial and management consulting.
Agostino is a long-time supporter of culture, particularly contemporary art and theatre. He is co-founder and vice president of Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation for contemporary art. From 1996 to 2007 he was chairman of Turin Theatre Foundation (TST). He was president of Public Dramatic Theatre and Vice President of the National Association of Dramatic Art Theatres. He was also a board member of Rivoli Contemporary Art Museum. From 2010 to 2013 Agostino has been chairman of Fidas ADSP Onlus (Blood Donor Association).

He began his career as a diplomat in December 1999 and from January 2000 to July 2001 worked on legal and institutional issues regarding the European Union at the General Directorate for European Integration of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2001, in the aftermath of the Balkan conflict, Pasquale Salzano was appointed Chief of Staff of the international OSCE Mission in Belgrade and the following year was posted by the Italian government to Pristina to establish and manage the Italian Liaison Office at the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Kosovo, which subsequently became the Italian Embassy.
From 2005 he was in New York at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations and, after about two years, was posted to Rome to the Office of the Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister where, in view of the Italian Presidency of the G8, was appointed by the Prime Minister as Head of the Sherpa Office for the G8/G20.
